I don't know when it started.

Maybe it was when I was 10, copying the Adam Ant logo in maths.
I got caught. I got detention.

Maybe it was a few years later, creating posters for school plays.
They offended the teachers. They took them down.
Everyone heard about the play.

Or my first placement, coming up with an idea for WHSmith stationery packaging that got printed.
My mum bought most of the stock.

It could have been branding trains in the 90s.
Or government science departments, global automotive icons and homeless charities in the 00s.
Digital radio apps and domestic abuse charities in the 10s.
Working with founders, global membership organisations and US entertainment technology businesses in the 20s.

I genuinely don't know where it started.
But I know this.

Thirty years of the obsession, the mistakes, the breakthroughs, the frameworks built from doing it over and over. It's not experience in the CV sense.

It's knowing what's wrong before the client has finished their first sentence.
It's knowing which question unlocks everything.
It's knowing when to think more and when to stop.

Untangle Your Brand has never let me down.
And it's never let a client down.

It just took me 30 years to name it.

So, whatever you're doing.
However you started.
Just keep on going.
It's worth it.

Enjoy your Quick PINT.
