No, the Queen didn’t drop the C-Bomb. You wouldn’t expect her to. But full marks for speaking to the nation with a difficult message at a difficult time.

What impressed me was how she handled it. Clear. Calm. Human. She said everything she needed to say without using the one word everyone was tense about. I didn’t even notice until afterwards.

A good reminder that you don’t always have to name the thing to address it. Sometimes the tone carries more weight than the vocabulary.
