Get past the name that no-one wants to say out loud and an album title no-one knows how to pronounce, and the debut album Ö from New York duo Fcukers is the sound of someone phoning you from a party that's rapidly losing control. You can hear it down the line before you've even got your coat on. But you've got less than 30 minutes till it ends.

Fcukers, Shanny Wise and Jackson Walker Lewis, are two musicians from the Lower East Side 'indie sleaze revival' who got bored of being in indie bands and decided to throw a party instead.

Cut-and-paste electro scraps left on the floor of James Murphy's studio, sped up and played backwards. Like a video shot at 10x speed at night, all the lights trailing, brief random disconnected events flashing past.

You've no idea what's going on. You just want to be there.

28 minutes and 27 seconds of brain-ache-inducing bleeps, techno beats, scratches and vocoder mumbling, half thoughts whispered to no one in particular, because nobody's listening that closely anyway. Random speed changes. Throw in a horn. Switch to an Ibiza sunset vibe. House keys. Build it up. Break it down. Samba, why not. Liquid dripping bleeps and bouncing bass. Penthousepiano and pavement slabs of dirty electro.

Ö is the club you always wanted to get invited to. You get there and realise your battered Strokes t-shirt makes you look like the oldest person in the room. Because you are.

Recorded it in two weeks, no time to overthink any of it.
