This week I decided to make a change.
A big change in how I nurture leads and share content.

No more funnel marketing. Now it’s just content marketing.

So what’s the difference, and why the change?

Funnel marketing is built around control.

You attract leads, add them to a list, and guide them through automated steps until some become clients. It’s logical and measurable, but it can feel mechanical, always thinking about the next tag, form, or trigger, not the person on the other end.

Funnel marketing: Put enough in, something will pop out.

Content marketing flips that.

Instead of moving people through a system, you put ideas into the world. You share something worth reading and trust it finds the right audience. It’s about energy, not control. Write clearly, publish consistently, let the content travel. Those who connect will find their own way to you.

Content marketing: Put something good in, and broadcast it.

That change in thinking has also led to a shift in where everything lives. You might have noticed this week’s Quick PINT looks a little different. It’s still an email, still landing in your inbox, but now it lives somewhere new.

Everything is now hosted on Blah, Blah, Blah, my new home for writing about brands, bands, and creativity. It’s an archive, a library, and a conversation in one place.

For the past few years, ActiveCampaign handled everything. Tags, automations, workflows, landing pages, the full funnel. It worked, but it often felt like running a small factory just to send a note.

Now it’s simpler.

Now everything is stored on the Ghost platform. I write, share, and if you like it, you can read more, subscribe, comment or share it. No sequences, no hidden steps. Just content. Clear, calm, and ready when it’s ready.

And to be clear this isn’t a Substack-style land grab where I start charging for access. There’s just one tier. Free.

You’ll still get a Quick PINT every week, plus other posts from time to time.

The new platform fits the new mindset, content that stands on its own, travels on its own, and finds the right people when the timing’s right.

You can read the welcome post and explore the archive here:

Welcome to Blah, Blah, Blah.

There’s nothing wrong with funnel marketing.
It works for many businesses.
Content just suits me better, slower, simpler, more connected.

The important thing is to do what fits you, your business, and your audience.

Find the approach that helps you share what matters most, in a way that feels right.

Enjoy your Quick PINT.
