If you had to team up with another brand, who would it be?
That thought hit me this week when Newcastle United dropped their new collaboration with Adidas. The 25/26 Samba trainers. Took me all of 30 seconds to buy them. And I don’t usually go for fan kits, and I usually limit myself to one new pair of Sambas a year.
When brands and bands line up, the result is powerful.
Apple and Nike. Topshop and Kate Moss.
Beyoncé and Jay Z. Run DMC and Aerosmith. Queen and Bowie.
Coldplay and Chainsmokers.
(Ok, not always then).
The point is, a good partnership creates something bigger than the sum of its parts. Two sets of values combine. Your audience sees it and thinks, “I want it. How much is it?” They’ve made up their mind before seeing the price.
If I was to pick a collaboration, it would have to be Guinness. Sout. Black clothes. Slow to settle. The head turns white. Mine’s still grey.
So, who would it be for you? Who could amplify your brand, sharpen its edge, or open up a new crowd?
Enjoy your Quick PINT

PS Still gutted I missed out on the New Order Blue Monday Adidas collaboration back in 2019.
