“Hello, my name is David Attenborough and I've been appearing on radio and television for the past 60 years.”
Now, of course, I am not David Attenborough. Everyone knows who David Attenborough is, which is why it took him less than five hours to reach one million followers on Instagram.
But he still introduced himself to the world.
This made me think.
Last week I asked for feedback on my website and it was pointed out by Deborah Ager that I had not introduced myself. I had never noticed this before.
So let us try again.
“Hello, I’m Nigel Davies, an independent brand consultant. I combine my experience in strategy, creativity and business by connecting ideas to help you untangle brand problems, gain clarity and manage your brand as it evolves.”
OK, so I may not reach one million followers anytime soon. Branding might not be the solution for a world that is in trouble. But it is never too late to learn from the great Sir David Attenborough, and I have added an About page.
