Quick PINT turns one year old this week,

Fifty-two weeks (minus Christmas) of thoughts and ramblings about branding, business, and bands.

What started as a personal challenge to see if I could write something every week has turned into a habit I look forward to. It is no longer a chore, it is part of the rhythm of my week.

If you have an audience and you are not speaking to them regularly, here are a few things I have learned from running this newsletter.

Give it a name that sticks.

Quick PINT came from my business name and values: P = Pragmatic, I = Inspiring, N = Nurturing. I added T for Thoughts and decided it should be quick and easy to read, and to write.

Do not overthink it.

Too much planning kills the energy. You lose the immediacy that makes it worth reading. You are not writing a white paper to change the world. You are just sharing something to make people stop, think, and smile.

Pick your moment.

Find a time that fits your week. I write mine on a Friday when the work is done, just before Vinylly Friday starts. Head clear, weekend starting, pint in hand.

Keep an archive.

This one is still a work in progress, but it matters. Write every week and you will build a library of ideas you can reuse, expand, or share elsewhere. New readers enjoy seeing how it has grown.

So that is it.
Have fun with it. Write often. Share widely.

And if you have a regular newsletter, send me the link. I would love to read what is going on in your world.

Enjoy your Quick PINT.

Cheers

Nigel
