When developing early concepts for Soak&Sleep, the sketches were meant to be placeholders, quick lines to express an idea. But the client loved them; something about them felt right. They weren’t perfect, just honest. The client saw that charm instantly and asked for more.
So every illustration in the brand ended up hand-drawn by me. Imperfect, human, believable. In another setting, they might have been polished out of existence, but here they became the brand’s heartbeat.
Most people think they can’t draw. I’m not sure I can either. But sometimes, trusting your instincts, and the imperfect marks you make, brings more authenticity than any filter or font ever could.
