What does your lunch say about you? With struggling high street retailers and the slow demise of the office sandwich, I started to think about my career journey through the sandwiches I chose.

Local Italian deli; massive bap with gloopy tuna mayonnaise (first job, cheap sandwich).
EAT; beef, rocket and parmesan baguette (I was in trendy Clerkenwell, it felt premium).
Exmouth Market corner café; chicken with lettuce and salad cream, nothing else, in a polystyrene box (I was running a business and trying to lose weight).
Prêt-a-Manger; egg mayonnaise with cheese and onion crisps (even trendier Soho office next to a Veggie Prêt).
Waitrose; strange seafood salad that is not really seafood or salad (office in Greenwich near the supermarket).
Co-op; BLT with prawn cocktail crisps (working from home and they do not offer much else).

So what does this say about me?
I will not go far to get lunch.
Convenience is king when time is limited.
I have phases and tastes that evolve, though I stay loyal.
Cutting out carbs really helps shift weight. So why did I go back to sandwiches?
It makes me consider working in town again.
I would miss the high street sandwich shops if they all disappeared.
