Which came first; the chicken or the egg? A dilemma that has engaged both philosophers and scientists through the years. But the question ‘which comes first; the product or the brand?’, has been asked less often.  
  
If you have a great product then you may sell well, irrespective of the brand, to an audience that loves the product.  
  
If you don’t have a great product, consumers aren’t really like to buy and you will sell less.  
  
If you have a great brand then you may sell well, irrespective of the product, to an audience that loves the brand.  
  
If you don’t have a great brand, consumers aren’t likely to take notice of you and you will sell less.  
  
I’m neither a philosopher nor a scientist, but let’s ask the question again.  
  
**Question**; Which is more important; the product or the brand?  
**Answer**; The audience.  
  
Create products that the audience want and a brand that connects with them and they will love you, your product and your brand.
